Introducing Enhanced Security Features

At Heap, we care deeply about securing your data. We know that when you trust us to collect your data, you also trust us to protect it. This is why improving Heap’s security across the board has been a major focus over the past year.

Now you can ensure your account is even safer with enhanced security features like two-factor authentication and single-sign on.

Two-factor authentication

Two-factor authentication (or 2FA for short) is an easy way to secure your account. With 2FA, you will need to authenticate every login attempt from your mobile device. This extra authentication protects anyone from gaining access to your account if your password is somehow compromised.

2FA is available to all Heap customers. To set up 2FA, log in to your Heap account. Go to Settings and click Enable Two-Factor Authentication. Scan the QVR code with your 2FA app of choice and confirm the code. For detailed setup instructions, please see our 2FA doc

Single-sign on

Single-sign on (SSO) is a type of authentication service that allows a user to login to multiple applications with one set of login credentials. If your organization already uses an SSO provider like OneLogin, Google Apps or Okta, now you can add Heap to the list of SSO applications! This will save time logging in, streamline user management and reduce the number of passwords any given user must keep track of.

SSO is available as an enterprise plan addition. For more information about setting up SSO for your Heap account, please contact us
