Welcoming Our New CMO and CRO

2017 is a year of major growth for Heap as we ship some big new products and scale out our team. (We’re hiring for many roles. Join us!)

To that end, we’re thrilled to announce two new leaders at Heap:

  1. Our new Chief Marketing Officer Shawn Hansen
  2. Our new Chief Revenue Officer Neal George

With decades of experience between them both and prior leadership roles at Mixpanel, Adobe Omniture, Tealium, and Microsoft, Shawn and Neal have played a big role in defining the analytics industry.

Ushering in Customer Analytics 2.0

At Heap, we knew we wanted leaders who were deeply unsatisfied with the analytics pain points our customers face, particularly at large enterprises. Should actionable insights on your customers require manual tracking code, complex ETL processes, 200-line SQL queries, and a PhD in statistics? Of course not.

When we spoke with Shawn and Neal, it became obvious that they recognized the same massive potential in customer analytics that we did. One where automation obviates manual analytics tracking, where actionable insights take seconds to find instead of weeks, and where those insights are accessible to everyone, not just a few tech-savvy gatekeepers.

We can’t imagine a more qualified duo of go-to-market leaders to help bring Heap’s vision to reality. We’re super pumped.

Heap’s New CMO: Shawn Hansen

Shawn comes to us from Mixpanel, where he was CMO. He brings 20 years of marketing and product leadership across both fast-growing startups and major tech companies like Microsoft and Cisco. At Microsoft, he led product strategy, product planning and go-to-market execution for Azure’s SQL Data Warehouse service and the Microsoft Analytics Platform System.

Heap’s New CRO: Neal George

Neal joins us with over 20 years of experience in enterprise sales and business development for some of the most formative analytics companies. Prior to joining Heap, Neal served as vice president of enterprise sales at predictive marketing analytics company Lattice Engines, and before that as vice president of sales at Tealium. Previously, Neal led sales at WebSideStory through its acquisition by Omniture and later Adobe.

Welcome to Heap, Shawn and Neal!
